Position Description:

As the Territory Manager, Commercial Products, you will propose heating solutions to commercial customers in the Greater Toronto Area. 

You will have a number of different tasks, the most important ones being:

  • Maintain and develop existing commercial customers and develop new commercial customers within the Territory, commercial customers including consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, school boards, utilities, property developers, property management companies, apartment and condominium owners, wholesalers, etc.
  • Continuous contact and communication with all commercial customers in the Territory
  • Provide quotes, product training, product support and service support to commercial customers in the Territory
  • Cooperate and coordinate with Viessmann Commercial Support staff and Order Desk staff in Waterloo, as well as the Key Account Manager to support commercial projects
  • Provide input and support to the Marketing Team in preparing advertising and promotional materials (e.g. power point, letters, literature, references etc.) for presentation to potential commercial customers
  • Create an annual business plan for commercial customers in the Territory and present it to the Director, Sales and Marketing
  • Provide a quarterly analysis of commercial business in the Territory to the Director, Sales and Marketing along with a summary. The report will include total projects quoted, sold and forecasted for the time period
  • Support the Viessmann Academy by providing sales and technical training on commercial topics as required
  • Support the CPRO contractor training by cooperating with the Viessmann Academy Instructor and the Technical Service Manager as required


Essential skills and qualifications for position:

  • A minimum of two years experience in a sales position in the commercial hydronics market
  • Professional Engineer designation or alternatively, a technical certification with a minimum of five years in an engineering position
  • Candidates with experience with ESCOs and property management companies will be preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong user knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel during weekends and for up to 20% as required
