Viessmann Residential Solar System Packages Awarded CSA Certification
Viessmann successfully received System Certification from the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) last month for two residential system packages. The packages feature one or two Vitosol 200-F flat plate solar collectors as well as a single-coil Vitocell-V 100 storage tank, Solar Divicon Pumping Station, SCU Solar Control and Tyfocor Heat Transfer Fluid.
To achieve certification, impartial third party testing was conducted by CSA and Exova Testing Lab to evaluate and verify the performance, safety and durability of the solar system. These tests confirmed that all Viessmann system components meet Canadian approved requirements, ensuring the system will perform safely and reliably in the extreme cold and heat of the Canadian climate.
CSA System Certification is required by a number of Canadian incentive programs and will provide access to additional government funds towards the investment of a residential solar system. CSA System Certification is required for permits in some areas of Canada and is frequently requested by plumbing code officials.
Viessmann manufactures a multi-level program of technologically advanced hydronic heating solutions and renewable energy systems for residential, commercial and industrial applications in 12 production locations worldwide. The Viessmann solar program includes flat-plate and vacuum tube solar collectors, dual- or single-coil DHW storage tanks, pre-fabricated all-in-one pumping stations, a complete line of solar controls, pre-insulated piping systems, unique mounting hardware and more.
