About the position:

  • Ensure application of internal controls throughout organizational processes as they relate to finance
  • Ensure compliance with all entity based legal and accounting requirements under US GAAP and Canadian ASPE as well as guidelines and procedures of the Viessmann Group 
  • Drive continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures to increase efficiencies and productivity; ensure documentation of most current processes
  • Direct and manage the accounting function for North America including general accounting, sales taxes, payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Manage timelines and due dates for accounting related items
  • Train and develop team members
  • Review weekly cash flow, accounts receivables and monitor Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO)
  • Review and approve cash disbursements including forward options
  • Support monthly consolidation of accounting data with corporate office 
  • Preparation of various reports for external and internal stakeholders including statistical reporting
  • Organize and manage the annual year-end audit
  • Additional tasks as may be required during the course of the business year

Who we're looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business/Accounting
  • CPA designation 
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in a Controller position
  • Leadership experience
  • Must have SAP experience
  • Familiar with Google Suite of office products including Google Sheets
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Sound knowledge of US GAAP and ASPE; good understanding of the complete range of accounting procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • German language skills are an asset
  • Ability to travel internationally
