When it was built seven years ago, the Bluenose Academy in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, became the greenest building in Atlantic Canada and the first government building in the province with a fully-integrated wood pellet-fired biomass heating system.

Evergreen Brick Works – Toronto, ON
The Evergreen Brick Works is a multi-use facility comprising various structures, including the LEED Platinum certified Centre for Green Cities (CGC). The five-storey CGC's space heating and domestic hot water needs are satisfied by a Vitocrossal 300, CT3 condensing boiler, augmented by two Vitorond 200, VD2 boilers and six Vitosol 200-F flat plate solar thermal collector panels.
Fink Enderby District Energy – Enderby, BC
The Fink Enderby wood biomass district energy project serves ten residential, commercial and industrial customers. Primary heating is provided by a Viessmann Vitoflex 300-RF, KRT-540 (formerly Pyrot) rated at 1843 MBH. Back-up heating for peak loads is supplied by a Vitocrossal 200, CM2 (1078 MBH) gas-fired boiler.
La Cité Verte – Québec City, QC
La Cité Verte – a large-scale, multi-residential project comprised of housing units, apartmetns, condos and townhouses – is the most advanced wood biomass-fired district heating system in North America.
Nazko Valley Elementary School & Community Centre – Quesnel, BC
The Nazko Valley Elementary School & Community Centre was retrofitted with a wood biomass heating system to achieve lower fuel costs and carbon credits from reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
Sustainable Wood Energy Project – Camrose County, AB
A self-contained wood biomass Energy Station provides space heating for the Camrose County Administration Office, with a gas-fired boiler acting as back-up during peak load times. By opting to retrofit the building with a wood-fired boiler, Camrose County was able to reduce its annual CO2 emissions by approx. 148 tonnes.
Table Rock Welcome Centre – Niagara Falls, ON
The Table Rock Welcome Centre, situated next to the world's most recognizable water fall, hosts more that 8 million visitors per year. Viessmann heating technology in the form of three Vitocrossal 300, CT3 gas-fired condensing boilers, rated at 2702 MBH each, provides space heating for the Centre's new viewing gallery, as well as exterior ice and snow melt.
