2017 is a momentous year, not only for Canada, but also for Viessmann as we celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary. To mark this occasion and to look forward to the next 100 years, Viessmann Canada celebrated with customers and staff during a full day, open house-style event at its Waterloo, ON location.
Officially named the Viessmann 100+ Tech Social 2017, the event featured a series of tech info sessions around our newest product innovations, as well as complimentary food and beverages, including a couple of local food trucks taking care of the "Social" aspect.
Our newly constructed commercial boiler technology test lab and wood biomass boiler plant & training centre were hubs of activity with live-fire biomass and gas-fired commercial condensing boiler demonstrations capturing the interest of many attendees. At a significant investment, the addition of a wood biomass system to heat our entire 55,000 ft² facility, thereby making it virtually 100% fossil fuel independent, is evidence of the company's commitment towards regenerative, sustainable, and environmentally-friendly heating solutions.
Also on display and continuing the sustainability theme was our all-in-one solar DHW system package, featuring the new Viessmann ThermProtect – the world's first stagnation-proof solar absorber coating!
On the residential side, our new Vitodens 100-W, B1HA wall hung space heating condensing boiler, as well as the B1KA combi version were also of particular interest to our guests.
Among the many guests who came to visit us, including Mayor of Waterloo, Dave Jaworsky, we were also happy to welcome Mr. Maximilian Viessmann – son of current company President, Prof. Dr. Martin Viessmann – to our location.
