Viessmann Canada is very pleased to announce that our 2018 Ride for Comfort charity motorcycle ride was a tremendous success, raising over $25,000 in support of STARS Air Ambulance of Calgary, Alberta.
While Viessmann is engaged in the business of home heating comfort, the term comfort can take on many different aspects of life, such as knowing that help is on the way in the fastest way possible.
The Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society (STARS) is a Canadian non-profit helicopter air ambulance organization funded by individual donors, service groups, corporate donors and government contributions. STARS Air Rescue saves lives through partnership, innovation and leadership. They are dedicated to providing safe, rapid, and highly specialized emergency medical transport for the critically ill and injured.
17 riders departed Calgary on July 19, 2018 on a tour through some of the most picturesque landscapes in western Canada. Stops included Banff, Alberta, as well as numerous locations in eastern and central British Columbia, such as Revelstoke, Kelowna, Oliver, and Cranbrook. Special stops included a visit to Fink Machine for a tour of a Viessmann wood biomass district energy system, as well as a tour of Burrowing Owl Winery in the Okanagan featuring Viessmann solar thermal collectors.
